Thought I share this little piece of information. Read on.
5/12/08: Concerning Kara's death and return from Edward Olmos: "Well, we've filmed something that started to explain it. And it's not an uplifting understanding. [Laughs.] I will say that. It's as dark as everything else. You sit there and you go, "Oh my God, you guys are sick!" They're pushing the envelope. And the network is allowing it." From Boston Globe Interview
What does that mean?! I wonder if Starbuck could be the first true hybrid instead of Hera, and that one of the cylons (either Leoben or Saul) is her dad. That is one of the few things that the writers could throw at me and make me feel physically ill. This could explain why she came back from the dead. Remember, no one has actually tried to kill Hera or Nicholas, the two known hybrids. Thus, we don't know whether or not the hybrids have some sort of resurrection abilities of their own.
Another possibility is that she was a successful product of the first cylon experiments (see Razor-particularly when the younger Adama is in the cylon lab and is trying to save the humans. One of the humans was a little girl with blonde hair that looks like a young Starbuck).
Here's my problem: While both theories might explain why Starbuck came back, neither one can address Starbuck's Raptor. If you guys have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
